WOW...WOW...WOW... π
Where do I begin...?
I have been decompressing today trying to remember everything that happened this past weekend at the SHINY RUST HOT ROD SPECTACULAR...3 days of load-in, 2 days of awesomeness of a hot rod show, 1 evening of a bit of chaos on load-out, but all-in-all...WOW...I am still trying to float down from this cloud I am on.
π I am humbled, amazed, honored and everything in between those three words (including sore and tired). To have a dream to do an indoor hot rod show, then to be able to do outdoor shows, then to actually fulfill the dream of actually DOING AN INDOOR HOT ROD SHOW...my theme was "Grass Roots; Built Not Bought", which I had been saying since last January when I started to promote the show. I do think that was accomplished as I'd say about 99% of the rides there were built and not bought.
π I cannot thank all the sponsors, participants, vendors, patrons and Shiny Rust staff enough for the dedication and support for this indoor show at the Oakland Expo Center in Waterford. With no title or presenting sponsor we still marched forward to do the best we could do...something about "lemonade" comes to mind π€.
π€ The massive outpouring of support from long-time friends, new friends, friends of friends was overwhelming.
Without all the people involved, this show would not have been possible.
> I want to say a major thank you to...Joe Nieporte w/Funfest Events & the Oakland Expo Center working to make this happen.
