Since we have some new faces around here and last year was a total whirlwind, let me reintroduce myself and give a little life update!

My name is Alyson and this will be my 5th wedding season. I got started by helping friends and family with planning their weddings. After my first wedding coordinator job, I realized how much I truly love seeing people’s dreams come true!

I got married at the end of May, I have a rambunctious dog and a very playful cat (both whom I adore!!), and have been kind of MIA on here because of that and trying to renovate our home. I’m excited to see what this year brings and help all of my lovely couples have the weddings of their dreams!

A little delayed, but it’s been a crazy summer! Daniel and Ashley got married two months ago today!! It was such a pleasure being part of this beautiful day. The weather wasn’t looking good at the start of the day, but it ended up clearing up and becoming the most perfect day! Congratulations again!!

As the start of wedding season is quickly approaching, let me go ahead and introduce myself!

My name’s Alyson and I started Make Your Day Events after helping multiple family and friends plan their big day and just loved it! In college, I took a wedding planning class as an elective, and that’s truly where the love began. I’m even, currently, planning my own wedding at the end of May!

I moved to Pittsburgh 7 years ago, and have loved finding all the hidden gems and experiencing the bigger city life. My fiancé and I have a German Shorthair Pointer and a cat, and we just bought our first house together on a little over 3 acres.

Although wedding day of coordination is my specialty, I’m always happy to help plan other kinds of events; birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers…you name it!

It’s been a few weeks since the last wedding of the season, but I can’t get over how beautiful the day turned out! Bricelyn and Michael had the most perfect day, wind and all, to say I do!
