Ok - this year the Concord grape had some problems with phylloxera- an insect that causes galls. (Photos 1 and 2) Treatment included removing infected leaves and dealing with a non-harvest year. But wait! I planted a Hops vine (or “bine”as they’re called) next to it two years ago, and it has been ambling it’s way through the Grape all summer and is almost ready to harvest! Will have a enough for about three beers so let me know if you’d like one! 😂
