Engagement season is here and I’m obsessed with all the newly engaged couples popping into my inbox already. 💍✨

Ok, I just have to share this recent google review that made me cry from our wonderful couple from a couple weeks ago. I just love celebrating love 🥹

"Woodbury Falls is absolutely enchanting from the charming indoor reception area to the beautiful outdoor scenery and waterfall. We were so lucky to be able to celebrate our wedding a couple weeks ago at this magnificent venue. The style of the venue is beyond picture perfect. The layout made everything so easy for everything we wanted.

The main room was spacious and even with our 200+ guest list there was still plenty of room for dancing all night long. The bridal suites were perfect for getting ready at the venue and even an easy escape when we just needed a little break to ourselves. The side area and kitchen was perfect for our catering staff to set up and have the space to serve without interrupting the main event. This venue even has so many decor options that they’ll provide and set up for you! Talk about a time saver. The outdoor ceremony area with the waterfall is beyond beautiful and makes getting the perfect pictures so easy.

But most importantly Miranda and her staff were our favorite part. Miranda made everything so easy and was always a text away if I had any questions or concerns. She is the sweetest thing and genuinely cares about the people she works with. She even got ahold of us after the wedding was already over just to check in. She was truly the fairy god mother in our fairytale wedding. I could go on and on about how much we love Woodbury Falls!"

Kelsee + Brody | 11.15.25

I’m still smiling thinking about this day. ✨
Kelsee & Brody had an absolute 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢 of vendors and the sweetest group of people surrounding them. Their adorable daughter in her little flower girl dress with her perfect curls stole everyone’s hearts, and Kelsee’s mom was truly a behind-the-scenes angel all day long, the kind of support every couple hopes for. 🥰

Brody’s dad gave one of the most memorable best man speeches I’ve ever heard, and the whole room was locked in. And somehow, in mid-November, we were gifted the most beautiful weather… truly a little wedding-day magic.

By the time the reception kicked off, their friends PACKED the dance floor and kept it lively all night. Just such a fun, joy-filled crowd from start to finish.

So happy for these two, what a perfect day. 💛

I mean… can we talk about this day?! 🤩✨
Amber & Hunter nailed the whole “perfect October wedding” vibe with sunshine outside, packed dance floor inside, and the kind of guests who know how to celebrate right.

These two are officially married (!!) and heading home to their adorable squad of fur babies. And can we give Amber a round of applause? Nurse by night, wedding queen by day. Absolute icon. 👏💕

The whole night was pure fun, pure joy, and pure “yep, these two were meant to find each other.” We loved every minute of having them here at Woodbury Falls.

Skyler + Nick | 9.27.25

From the very first time I met Skyler and Nick it felt like we’d been friends forever. They’re one of those couples who instantly put you at ease: warm, funny, and so clearly in love. Their September wedding was everything we’d been looking forward to since they booked with us almost two years ago.

Family and friends traveled from all over to celebrate their day, and the energy was incredible from start to finish. The weather was beautiful, the decor fit their style perfectly, and every moment felt effortless and joyful.

And yes, the sweetest baby goats even made a special appearance, stealing hearts and adding the most memorable touch to an already perfect day.

We loved every minute celebrating this amazing couple, their kind families, and all the laughter that filled Woodbury Falls that day. Wishing Skyler and Nick endless years of love, happiness, and adventures together.

Where do we even begin?! This was one of our 𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 weddings to date and their guests really showed up for them. 💃🕺 From start to finish, these two (and their crew!) brought nothing but fun, love, and pure joy.

We had a few wild moments — surprise downpours on a “0% chance of rain” kind of day — but everyone rolled with it like pros. We chanced an outdoor ceremony and it stayed dry until the 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 walked into the reception room… talk about good timing! ☔️✨

Dinner by T&G BBQ had everyone’s mouths watering with their perfectly cooked salmon, prime rib, and all the fixings. 😋 They never miss!

And let’s talk about the incredible Hype Crew 🙌! They choreographed an amazing dance with the bride that had 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 on their feet! Truly one of the most impressive and professional teams we’ve ever worked with. HYPE took care of all things entertainment: DJ, photo booth, draping, décor… they do it 𝙖𝙡𝙡, and they do it to perfection.

We couldn’t be happier for Terry & Trisch. They truly are the sweetest pair and such a perfect fit for one another. 💕

Your rehearsal isn’t just a quick run-through, it’s your chance to breathe, laugh with your crew, and make sure everyone knows exactly where they’re headed when the music starts. It sets the tone for your whole wedding weekend.

At Woodbury Falls, we always encourage couples to take advantage of their Friday access. It gives you time to decorate at your own pace, have your rehearsal, and actually enjoy your evening instead of feeling rushed. The more relaxed you are Friday, the more present you’ll be on Saturday and that makes all the difference. 🤍

From day one, I just knew these two were going to have the most chill, beautiful, joy-filled day and they absolutely delivered. Every moment felt easy, happy, and so ‘them’.

The fall colors showed off, the weather was a dream, and the whole day had that cozy, golden-hour glow 🍂✨

💍 When Should You Start Looking for Your Wedding Date?

If you just got engaged, CONGRATS! 🥂 One of the first big steps in planning your dream day is finding your venue and locking in your date. But how early should you start?

Here’s the honest scoop from the team at Woodbury Falls 👇

🌸 April / May / June: These dates typically book 12–18 months in advance. This season is when the grass is extra green, flowers are in full bloom, and everything feels fresh and alive again. Perfect for couples who love that soft, romantic spring-to-early-summer vibe.

☀️ July / August: Usually book about 12 months out. School’s out, families can travel, and for those who love the warmth of summer, this is your season! Enjoy outdoor ceremonies in the sunshine and then dance the night away in the AC.

🍁 September / October / Early November: Our most popular months at Woodbury Falls! These begin booking up to 24 months in advance and are typically fully booked 12–18 months out. As temps start to cool, the trees turn gorgeous shades of gold, red and rust, and we can often open the doors to enjoy that crisp Midwest air everyone loves.

❄️ Winter Weddings (December–February): We always host a handful each year, and they are pure magic. ✨ Think cozy vibes, greenery and berries, dried citrus décor, and candlelight. Plus, February is the month of love, and winter weddings tend to be a little easier on the budget, too.
