A week ago I was honored to be a small part of something so special, Chase asked his sweet Hailey to be his forever. Chase put so much thought and effort into making that evening so perfect for Hailey and it was perfection...especially with the help of his amazing mom and aunt that owns Custom Blooms! I did have to ask a photographer and her clients to not go down to the creek yet until after Chase asked her. They were all so sweet about it and I felt terrible for asking.
Chase and his family were my very first non-family clients 18 years ago. My friend Carrie called one fall day and said "hey can you run down to Ellis Park and take some family pics for my friend and her family because her photographer bailed again on them?" I was like "ummm sure I guess I can!" Friends I was NOT a real photographer at that time. Chase was just a wee lad and his sis was 1. Those pics were terrible but Kit loved them for some reason and has asked me to capture their family ever since. So from family pics, to senior pics and now onto a proposal. WOW to be a part of one family's big events and moments like this are not lost on me. Photography can be so overwhelming and the burn out is real because I don't know the word NO but when I think about all the amazing moments I have been honored to be a part of for families....births, littles, sports, senior pics, college grad pics, proposals, weddings, maternity, growing families and even people close to meeting Jesus and even a few funerals...I am so honored to have captured all of these moments for so many of you. So thank you to those of you that have trusted me to do that for your families over the past 18 years.
Hailey and Chase I am so over the moon excited for you two!!! CONGRATS!! Part 2 of their pics coming in a day or two.
