I know this is a little late, but better late than never. Last weekend we competed in the Green Mountain BBQ Championship. It was a double KCBS Masters competition with two, one meat ancillary shootout competitions consisting of Chicken and Ribs. It made for a very busy weekend of cooking BBQ. That said, we were very happy with our results.

Saturday KCBS Masters:
6th place chicken
9th place ribs
20th place pork
5th place brisket
8th overall
Congrats to Chunky BBQ on their Grand Champion and FATED BBQ
on the RGC

Saturday evening one meat ancillary:
5th place chicken
4th place ribs

Sunday KCBS Masters:
12th place chicken
10th place ribs
22nd place pork
4th place brisket
12th overall

Congrats to Smokin' Hoggz BBQ on their Grand Champion and ElJefe Smoke on you RGC.

We are done competing for the year but plan on coming out strong next year and adding a bunch more competitions to our schedule. Good luck to all the teams that are still out on the competition trail. See you all next year!

This weekend we competed at the Frog Alley Brewing, Second Annual Brew-B-Que/New York State Championship, in Schenectady NY.
We had a great time! Frog Alley Brewery put on a great event. Awesome beer and plenty of live music! We had a good cook and the results really showed.

6th place - Chicken - Our first every top ten chicken call!
12th place - Ribs
12th place - Pork
3rd place- Brisket!

6th place Overall!

Congrats to ElJefe Smoke on winning Grand Champion and FATED BBQ on winning Reserved Grand Champion and all who heard their names called.

This weekend we competed at the Granite State BBQ Championship. This was our first competition of the year and our first competition in about 2 years. Our goals were simple. Get everything turned in time and maybe get a top ten call in one of the meat categories. We met our goals with a 5th place call in Brisket!

We had a decent cook but struggled to get our ribs done on time.
22nd Chicken
36th Ribs
18th Pork
5th Brisket

22nd Overall

Congratulations to Up 2 BBQ on winning their very first Grand Championship and Smoking Hoggz BBQ for winning the Reserve Grand Championship! Congratulations to everyone who had their name called!

All setup and ready to go for today’s High Hopes Foundation Peoples Choice Pulled Pork Competition in Merrimack NH. This is part of the Bacon & Beer Festival being hosted at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Sampling will begin at 3pm. So if you are in the area and want to taste some outstanding Pulled Pork, stop on by. Smoke is rolling and pork butts are on!!!

On June 21st - 23rd, Jailbreak BBQ will be at FROG ALLEY BREWING CO. 108 State Street Schenectady, NY 12305. We will be competing for the NY State BBQ Championship! There will be a People Choice competition on Saturday, June 22nd, to help support the Schenectady ARC. On Sunday, there will be the KCBS Masters Competiton to determine the NYS Champion. If you are in the area, come on out and support a great cause!
