With heavy hearts, we’re announcing that Let’s Talk About Brunch, originally scheduled for May 18th at the Portuguese Cultural Center in Danbury, has been canceled.
Despite our best efforts, we didn’t reach the ticket sales needed to move forward, and the venue is no longer able to hold the space. This is not the outcome we hoped for, especially after the love and energy that went into planning this event.
To our followers, vendors, and sponsors: thank you for your support, time, and belief in our vision. All tickets have already been refunded. Sponsors and vendors your refund is on the way this week! This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a pause. We’ll be back with something even better, and we can’t wait to create magic with you all again soon.

Cynthia Moura Dias, is a first-generation Portuguese-American, Miss Connecticut USA 2022, Silver-Level Competitive Ballroom Dancer, Model, Influencer, Pageant Coach, Emcee, Mental Health/Eating Disorder Awareness and Literacy Advocate. She graduated from University of Connecticut with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences and University of New Haven with her Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Cynthia was the Mistress of Ceremonies at the 2023 New York Portuguese American Leadership Council with special guest and keynote speaker President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. At the 2023 International Portuguese Music Awards, she co-hosted the Red Carpet Pre-Show and was the Award Handler at the 2022 IPMAs. Cynthia has been photographed by the internationally renowned photographer, Fadil Berisha. She has modeled for Portuguese designer Avadora Mimouni at New York Fashion Week, as well as Jovani, MacDuggal, and Johnathan Kayne. Cynthia placed in the Top 12 at Miss USA 2022 and received the Fan Favorite Award. In 2014, she was selected as Miss Wolcott’s Outstanding Teen and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen. Cynthia is currently preparing to apply to medical school and has a long-term goal of becoming a physician where she will be able to promote preventative and mental healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking, singing, dancing, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog!
