From Damascus residents to local fishing guides, Emory & Henry College students and faculty, and more, we thank you all for your hard work on this event. Thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural Damascus Trout Days this past weekend! A great time was had by all. More than 100 anglers of all ages lined the streambanks of Laurel and Beaverdam Creeks in town, and of the 84 trout tags turned in by noon on Sunday, George had caught 16 of them and Greg caught 10!

Trout Days is off to a great start! Stop by Appalachian Heritage Distillery & Brewery tonight for tall tales and raffle prizes, plus live music by Jake Roscoe and San Taco food truck! Raffle tickets are $5 or 3 for $10 on-site, drawing is at 7pm.

Happy Trout Days week here in Damascus, Virginia!

It's not too late to sign up for a weekend of trout fishing on Laurel and Beaverdam Creeks, April 11-13. The $100 entry fee includes a chance to win cash prizes of up to $1,000, plus a mix of gear, guided trips, and other sponsored items.

All Trout Days proceeds go toward supporting the Town of Damascus in long-term recovery efforts from the impacts of Hurricane Helene in September 2024.

Damascus Trout Days is coming up!
April 11-13 an in-town fishing tournament guaranteed to bring in big fish, bigger lies, and the biggest thirst you’ve ever had.
We’ll have all sorts of fun stuff happening Friday-Sunday, but Saturday will be the big one. Live music, food, WMEV broadcasting live, a beer garden, giveaways, and more!
