What’s the best piece of advice when hiring me as your florist?
From bride:
1. Just do it!
2. A friend who used to be in the wedding industry told me very early on when booking vendors to go with who you feel comfortable speaking with.
Hire who you are comfortable saying silly ideas to, who will be real with you about money, pricing, what is realistic, what isn’t, etc. who will tell you straight and talk to you like a friend. That is what reallllly drew me to you is that you were so transparent about everything! I didn’t have the time or energy to beat around the bush with anything bc I was working a full time job and wedding planning and then some. You were so real about what flowers were expensive, pros and cons to them, what we could add and take away to stay in my budget & you were SO kind about the budget. You handled that with such grace & kept it in mind the WHOLE time. I told you I didn’t care about flowers that much (ofc I ended up caring about them bc that’s how wedding planning works LOL) and you were like ok word. I also felt comfortable being like is this a stupid idea or “what if we did this??” and you would give me enough information to make an informed decision about an idea without flat out saying no to me! Because I didn’t want a yes girl. I wanted someone who could IMPROVE my vision and help refine it!! AND YOU DID THAT!
So I guess hire Madflowers if you want a hype woman but also someone who will tell it to you straight! Hire her if you want someone who will take your vision not only and run with it but make it BETTER than your Pinterest board ever imagined. Bc it’s YOUR DAY not the random stranger on Pinterest’s day. & you made that come to life for me. :) & for sure hire her if you need someone to hold your hand while she tells you how expensive your taste is BUT finds ways to still make it work.
