✨ Halfway up the stairs, Carmen turned around and laughed. John had both hands full of her train, and honestly, neither of them looked in a rush to get anywhere.

Carmen wore the Helena by Zuhair Murad two ways. For the portraits and the walk down the aisle, it had sheer off-the-shoulder sleeves covered in the same flowers as the skirt. By the stairs, the sleeves were off and the gown felt a little lighter, a little more fun.

Those flowers are everywhere. Across the back, they're so close together you can barely find the buttons. On the lawn, they spill right into a veil long enough to fit them both underneath.

And the color! Pink, orange and violet in the bouquet, stained glass on the stationery, and all that ivory right in the middle of it.

✨ Satin, lace, and a love story still unfolding.

This bride’s clean satin, square neckline and gorgeous silhouette asked for nothing extra. Her Lihi Hod Bridal gown did what the best ones do: it stepped back and let her lead. Then came the veil, spilling across terracotta tile at Muckenthaler Mansion, and the whole room seemed to lean in.

A year ago this October, she stood at the altar in that quiet, holding her breath while Matthew read from a little linen book marked “vows.” Later there were coupe glasses, a half-eaten slice of cake, and a photo strip stamped with their new last name. The big moments are real, but it’s the small ones that stay with you.

Brittney found her gown at our sister boutique NWLA BRIDAL in Santa Monica. Different city, same belief: the right dress doesn’t change who you are. It shows you who you were all along. And thanks to Marlyn | Los Angeles & Destination Wedding Photographer, who captured every moment on both digital and film, none of it will ever feel far away.
