We’re closing our meal delivery service. Not for lack of love or demand—in fact, we’re stepping away at the top of our game, which makes this all the more bittersweet.
Like so many in this industry, we’ve given it everything we’ve got. But the truth is: despite years without a real vacation and countless 100+ hour weeks, we struggled to break even—even on our best days. Between rising food costs, the reality of paying our team a living wage (which we believe in deeply), and the constant pressure to keep prices “competitive,” we simply couldn’t crack the code to a sustainable business. And we’re not alone.
Most small food businesses you love aren’t built on profits—they’re built on passion. On long hours, slim margins, and teams who do it because they truly care. The service industry is full of some of the most hardworking, big-hearted humans out there. Please be kind to them. Respect their prices. Tip well.
To all of our incredible team members over the years: thank you. You showed up even when things were hard—and sometimes very hard. There were times when the pressure was crushing, the money was tight, and the deadlines were tighter. And still, you kept showing up—with care, loyalty, and love. This decision is also about you. About honoring everything you gave, and acknowledging that your well-being matters. A living wage and a healthy workload were never corners we were willing to cut—and we hope you felt that. We couldn’t have done any of this without you.
We truly don’t see this as a failure—only as the most intensive learning experience we could’ve asked for. We’re walking away proud. Grateful. A little tired. And deeply hopeful for what’s next. We’re proud of what we built, and endlessly thankful to every person who let us feed them. Meal delivery is ending—but FRP is still here. We are just creating space for new opportunities… and some much-welcomed “edits.”
All our love,
Carey & Andrew
