The effects of the pandemic on many of my industry friends, partners, and vendors have been devastating and life-changing, to say the least. Over the past year, I made the choice not to coordinate weddings so as to minimize any risk of Covid to myself and family. As we are still not “out of the woods” and after reevaluating my priorities and family circumstances, I have made the difficult decision to close my wedding planning business.
At Fit & Fab Weddings, I have loved helping couples plan unique celebrations of love and marriage. I worked hard to bring more diverse love stories to the wedding industry. Of 48 weddings I coordinated, 14 were inter-racial couples, 13 were minority couples, and 7 were same s*x couples. Thankfully, my weddings were featured 27 times allowing many of these couples to share their experiences and inspire others. And I was humbled after receiving Wedding Wire Couples Choice Awards in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
I continued to post photos on social media during the past year to energize and encourage couples considering marriage to plan the day of their dreams. I hope that I accomplished this. I also loved sharing the work of so many wonderful DFW vendors! It has been an honor to work with each and every one.
To all couples that I was blessed to assist, THANK YOU for allowing me to be part of your most special day and for trusting me!! I wish you all a lifetime of love and happiness. To all the amazing vendors I have met and worked with, THANK YOU for your hard work, care and help in making so many wedding days memorable for so many. My gratitude is endless.
My business will officially close on March 31, 2021. I will maintain this Instagram account for a while and will post again if I start any new venture.
