A dog, the Boulevard, and very good timing.
Caroline grew up a few blocks from Ford Stadium but had never been to an SMU game. At the 2023 home opener, she was walking the Boulevard looking for friends when a dog jumped up and knocked her to the ground. She looked up to find William standing over her, apologizing for his friend’s dog.
They started talking, and haven’t gone a day without talking since.
This past Saturday, they got married. And between the ceremony and the party, they went back to the Boulevard for portraits, this time on purpose.
Considerably better dressed. Cheers to the newly Nolans!

High above downtown Dallas, on the 19th floor of The Adolphus, generations have gathered since 1912 beneath the vaulted ceiling of the Governor’s Ballroom to mark life’s most important occasions. On Saturday, Haley and Clinton added their own to that history.
