Having trouble deciding on your wedding party? Consider these tips:
1. There is no wrong party size!
Whether it is 2 people or 22 people, there is no right answer to the size of a wedding party. Talk with your fiancé to determine the size of your party. There are a lot of occasions where you or your fiancé will have more friends. You will need to come to a decision if you would like to have the same amount of people on each side or if you’d like it to be uneven- Again- there is no wrong answer here!
2. When you look back on your wedding in five years, who can’t you picture your day without?
Did Sally just pop in your head? Or a memory with Anna? These are the people you want by your side on your big day!
3. Flip the last question: When you look back on your wedding in five years, who *can* you picture your day without?
If you hesitated when you thought of this person, or if you feel forced to include them, they probably shouldn’t be in your wedding. If you’re on the fence, you can always give them a job to include them in your day (I.e. ushers, grand exit organizers, welcome team)!
4. Don’t ask someone just because you were in their wedding!
It is not your obligation to include someone just because you were apart of their day.
5. Who has a big personality and can keep the party going all night long but can still be mature and stand calmly by your side at your wedding?
Sometimes our party animals can be hard to contain. It’s important to find a balance between calmness and liveliness when you have them stand by your side.
No matter what your party ends up looking like, it is truly your day and all your party will be special to you no matter what!
