Since we have moved the majority of our events to 2021, our main focus is currently on - our sister brand that offers micro weddings. We are hosting an event at on October 4th and have two time slots left - both perfect if you have been dreaming of a brunch wedding. Micro weddings are perfect for couples who still want a luxurious experience, but at a lower price point, couples who have been displaced by Covid and want to marry now and party later, and couples who have always wanted something smaller but didn’t know how to make that happen. Small wedding, sensational altar! Every event will have an insane altar installation that will rival any that we have produced for our full-scale weddings. Having a smaller wedding does not mean you have to sacrifice good design, especially when it comes to the most important element - the ceremony.

All this week I am showcasing some of the smaller real weddings we have done over the years to toast our newest venture . Amanda and Daryl’s “mini” wedding in Rancho Palos Verdes was definitely a highlight for us! A mini wedding is a wedding with less than 50 guests that still has all of the elements of a traditional wedding, just on a smaller scale. We’ll still continue to produce mini weddings with all of these elements - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing - everything you would have with a larger wedding. Continuing with our week-long launch of we are throwing it back to 2015 and my very first wedding with and ! Hanna and Nick had the tiniest wedding we have done to date with only 4 guests. They were married in the garden at Aldredge House followed by dinner in the sunroom overlooking the backyard of the estate. And of course, there was cake!

In celebration of launching last week, Im going to highlight some of the weddings we have done with smaller guest counts over the years. Birds of a Feather will continue to produce fabulous smaller weddings. Weddings with custom, high touch elements, 5 course dinners, dancing - a day all to yourself. Featured above is Gina & Ryan’s intimate dinner table for 32 guests. They enjoyed a coursed dinner at sunset on this screened-in porch overlooking the May River on the most perfect spring evening in the low country. This tablescape remains one of my all time favorites.
