Wedding day for Lydia + Rylie 🤍

How did Rylie propose? “The proposal happened at Lover’s Leap in Rock City—during the last few miles of our 3,000-mile drive from Oregon to Georgia, with my entire life packed into my car. We hadn’t really stopped to take in any views along the way, so when we pulled over to finally soak one in, I had no idea what was coming. Little did I know, he had planned this moment before we even started the trek. And yes… I was in flip-flops—otherwise I definitely would’ve suspected something.

What was your favorite date together? “Our favorite date so far has been our trip to Helen, GA in December. We went to see all the Christmas lights, and coming from Oregon, I had never experienced anything like it. We loved it so much that we plan to return for a few nights after our wedding—this time as husband and wife.

“We said yes to The Garden Cottage because it was the most gorgeous venue from the very beginning of my search. The outdoor space is absolutely stunning, and the team has been nothing but kind and wonderful throughout the planning process. Dahlonega is truly my favorite place in Georgia, and we knew it was exactly where we wanted both of our families to come together to celebrate.”

Wedding day for Larry + Kenitra 🥂

How they met:
“Larry and I have known each other since grade school, growing up together in the beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands. Life took us in different directions, and for years we lost touch until a chance reconnection on social media brought us right back to each other. It felt like no time had passed. What started again as friendship slowly became something more… a true full-circle love story.
Larry always joked that if he ever got married, it would be because the woman proposed to him. So when he got down on one knee, he laughed and said, “Never in a million years did I think I’d be the one proposing—to my best friend, to the girl I loved my whole childhood.” It was simple, intimate, and perfectly us.

Their favorite date:
One of our favorite dates was exploring Atlanta together playing tourist at the Coca-Cola Factory and riding the Ferris wheel, laughing and making memories that set the tone for a lifetime of fun side by side.

We chose The Garden Cottage because it felt intimate, romantic, and timeless. I dreamed of walking through those doors and seeing Larry’s face for the first time as his bride. It truly felt like us—the perfect place to begin our forever.

Our story is rooted in friendship, faith, and fate. To grow up together, lose touch, and find our way back to one another is nothing short of a blessing. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most.”

“Randy proposed in downtown Marietta. He told me we were going to dinner with friends that night but instead he proposed! He had my cousin in on the proposal and was able to get her to distract me while he got down on one knee to propose.”

“Our favorite date we have shared together is probably the date from when we first started dating back on 12/5/13. This date has always been very special to us and that’s why we chose it for our wedding date!”

It’s wedding day for our sweet couple, Johnathan & Megan🤍

Their love story is everything we adore, full of serendipity, laughter, and moments that feel straight out of a movie.

✨ The Proposal
Over the summer, these two cruised to the Bahamas for a kid-free getaway. They found the most secluded little beach for a quiet day together… or so she thought. Hidden on Johnathan’s cross necklace was the ring he’d been carrying the whole time. He proposed in the crystal, clear water, pure magic. And in the funniest twist, she later learned her school principal was on the same cruise, on the same tiny beach, and watched the whole thing happen!

✨ Their Favorite Date
Their second date sealed everything. They went to Rosati’s, talked for hours over good food and live music, and neither wanted the night to end. Standing outside together for hours afterward, they both just knew—this was it. The night they realized there was no one else for them.

✨ Why They Chose The Garden Cottage
“We’ve always dreamed of a wedding space large enough to hold all the people we love, but small enough to still feel intimate. The Garden Cottage was a dream when we went to visit. With cherry trees that reminded Johnathan of his grandmothers old house and a willow tree that reminded me of my childhood, it felt perfect. November 22 holds a very special place in our heart and when we found out (only three months out!) that they had the date available, it was fate.”

Meet Trevor + Abigail 🤍

How he proposed:
Trevor took her to the Botanic in Opelika where her best friends were secretly waiting to capture the moment. Then they celebrated over dinner with family and a special message printed right on the menu. Thoughtful, intimate, personal… and absolutely perfect.

Their favorite date:
It’s the day they picked up their dog together. She already had one pup, but this was the first one they chose as a couple. Their little furry addition fit right in (despite the resident queen of the house) and now their home is filled with double the love… and double the bark.

Meet Ashley & Jaden ✨

This weekend we’re celebrating Ashley and Jaden as they say I do here at The Garden Cottage!

Jaden proposed to Ashley at sunset on their favorite beach in Amelia Island, the first place they ever vacationed as a couple, and a spot close to Jaden’s heart since childhood. He made it even more special by having their best friends waiting on the beach, where he set up a blanket, flowers, and candles and even hired a photographer to capture the whole moment. Neither of them can remember exactly what was said through all the happy tears, but they both agree it was perfect.

One of their favorite dates was a day spent tubing on the river and finishing the evening with dinner in downtown Dahlonega.

They chose The Garden Cottage because “the layout is perfect, it has a fairytale-like atmosphere, they love the proximity to Dahlonega, and nothing can beat the beauty of the open-air chapel. Lindsey and Shannon also provide so many things for the wedding, it makes the planning process way easier!”

Ashley and Jaden are also welcomed their first baby boy in June 💙 they can’t wait to have him be a part of their special day.

Meet Sara + Evan 🤍

Evan proposed at Santa Rosa Beach, FL on their 2-year anniversary trip. It was the last day of vacation when he suggested they get dressed up and take a walk on the beach and there, with the sweetest setup by the water, he popped the question! 💍

One of their favorite dates together was at a winery in the mountains with scenic views, a glass of wine, and just being together made it unforgettable.

And when it came time to choose a venue, they said:

“As soon as we saw The Garden Cottage, it felt like the perfect place for our wedding day.
