Three weeks before this wedding, we got the call no planner ever expects: the venue had suffered a devastating fire.
With essentially two weeks to rebuild the plan, an incredible team of vendors came together to make it happen. We found a new location, redesigned the florals, reworked every rental order and created an entirely new floor plan. Tents, tables, chairs, china, lighting, generators and staging were added. Transportation plans changed. Every detail had to be reconsidered for a completely different property.
And then… it poured.
One final pivot moved the ceremony indoors, and Plan C was officially underway.
Through every change, we were incredibly lucky to have a bride and groom who remained patient, gracious and trusting through circumstances completely outside of their control.
This wedding was such a reminder of the value of relationships in this industry. When the unexpected happens, you need people who answer the phone, find a solution and say, “We’ll figure it out.” And that is exactly what this incredible vendor team did.
By the end of the night, the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier—and we heard more than once that “Plan C was better than Plan A.”
Forever grateful for an amazing family and the vendor partners who showed up, worked together and proved that having the right people beside you makes all the difference.
