For the past several years, The Olde Church has been far more than a business to us. It has been a place where thousands of memories have been made, where families have celebrated, where couples have begun their lives together, and where we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people. None of that would have been possible without this incredible community.
Today, we want to share something personal.
When we purchased and restored The Olde Church, we knew it would require sacrifices. What we didn’t fully appreciate was just how difficult it would become to live more than 11 hours away from our daughter. Recently, our daughter said something very simple:
“I just want us to have Sunday night dinners together.”
Those words stayed with us.
Life has a way of reminding us what matters most, and we’ve realized that while we’ve been helping others create beautiful memories here, we’re missing opportunities to create some of our own with the people we love.
Because of that, we’ve made the difficult decision to begin looking for the next owner of The Olde Church. Following the sale, we plan to move near our daughter in Pennsylvania.
This is NOT a closing announcement. We are OPEN for business and the church is only being sold as a wedding and event venue. So, please continue to support it!
We will continue operating exactly as we always have, honoring every booking and serving every couple with the same care and commitment until the right buyer comes along. It may take a year or two to find that buyer.
Our plan is to find someone who shares our vision and wants to continue The Olde Church as the wedding and event venue it was created to be. We’d love to see its story continue for many many years to come.
