One month ago today, we opened this year’s PSC Partners Annual Conference with an unforgettable and inspiring story from Brooke Babcock.

At last year’s conference in Phoenix, Brooke met Michelle Murphy, who lives with PSC and was wearing a shirt with a QR code asking for help finding a living liver donor. Brooke, whose daughter also lives with PSC, went up to talk with her, and when they discovered they shared the same blood type, it set in motion a journey that would change both of their lives.

This year, just weeks before the conference, Brooke donated a portion of her liver to Michelle at Mayo Clinic. Just 17 days post-surgery, Brooke stood before the PSC community to open the conference, sharing their remarkable story while Michelle joined via FaceTime. It was a powerful reminder of the life-changing connections made within our PSC Partners community.
