Tired of the $130 event passes, the flash downpours, the mile-long lines for lukewarm water, and corporate festival overcrowding? Skip the sunburn and get under the neon lights, because we have your cure. BUMMERFEST, a two-night independent, alternative anti-festival taking over Mad Planet for a massive double-header video dance party weekend. No never-ending lines, no $45 rain ponchos, just pure dancefloor energy.

Night 1 (Friday, June 26th), Goth Barge presents Dead Stars
Dance Commandr, XDOMINIONX, and DJ Falken team up to bring you a heavy dose of futurepop, industrial, EBM, darkwave, and goth. They'll be spinning tracks featuring music videos by VNV Nation, Covenant, Assemblage 23, Seabound, Wolfsheim, Beborn Beton, Icon of Coil, Apoptygma Berzerk, KMFDM, Rotersand, Nine Inch Nails, Front Line Assembly, and more.

Night 2 (Saturday, June 27th), the energy shifts to Post Modern Sleaze
Dance Commandr and DJ FernGully bring you a night of indie sleaze, electroclash, blog house, and dance-punk, dropping the ultimate nostalgic soundtrack featuring LCD Soundsystem, Justice, The Rapture, Klaxons, Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, Mstrkrft, Boys Noize, Cut Copy, MGMT, Daft Punk, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, Hot Chip, CSS, and Ladytron.

Both nights kick off at 9:00 PM and run until 2:30 AM at Mad Planet. Entry is just a $7 cover at the door each night, and these are 21+ events. Ditch the mega-fests, support local nightlife, and heal your festival fatigue on the dancefloor.

We’re setting up a dedicated Blood Zone at the front of the stage for the thirstiest among you, leading up to the main event: the midnight blood drop countdown.

DJ Dance Commandr and XdominionX storm the booth, hammering out a relentless deluge of Darkwave, Industrial, EBM, and Techno from doors until 2 AM.

Cleveland, Goth Barge is returning! We're throwing an intimate 3-hour floating dance party aboard The Holiday.

Cleveland’s own DJ BizarreDanceTriangle joins Milwaukee's Dance Commandr on the decks with a heavy mix of Goth, Post-Punk, and New Wave. And of course, you’ll find our Cleveland anchor Jacqui guiding the cruise as well.

ULTRA SUNN is bringing "The Beast In You" tour to Milwaukee on Thursday, May 14.

The Brussels-based duo has spent the last few years refining a sound that bridges the gap between classic New Beat and modern industrial. Their live set is built around analog synthesizers and industrial drum machines. No fluff, just high-energy rhythms and deep baritone vocals.

Goth Barge DJs be on the decks starting at 6:30 PM to set the tone until the live hardware takes over.

We invite you to the Q***r Gothic Boat, a three-hour goth dance party on the lake aboard the VISTA KING, Milwaukee's largest tour vessel. Join us for an inclusive celebration of the darker side of culture as we set sail for an evening of community and music.

It's going to be a night to remember, with choice beats curated by Dance Commandr, xdominionx, and special guest DJ Mya. Prepare to be enchanted by their bewitching mixes of goth, industrial, and darkwave as we cruise Milwaukee's waters from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

Tickets for this 21+ cruise are $45 each and include your first drink (choose from beer, a margarita, or a nonalcoholic option). After your first drink, it's a cash bar (accepting both cash and credit) offering beer, wine, cocktails, and nonalcoholic drinks. Please remember to drink responsibly and tip your bar staff at the onboard bar. This is a limited-capacity event, so be sure to secure your spot on the deck for this one-of-a-kind maritime celebration!

Didn't catch the cruise? No worries! Everyone is invited to the official after party. Join us at the Cactus Club for the post-cruise celebration! Venus Social Club's R3ALGRL and guest DJ xxUltravioletxx will be spinning an electrifying mix of tunes to keep the energy going. The music kicks off at 9:00pm, and the party runs until 1:00am. What a weekend, Milwaukee! A massive thank-you to every one of you who stepped out of the shadows to make GOTH PROM 2026 at Mad Planet an unforgettable two-night experience.

Our patrons are the heart of this scene, and we truly appreciate the energy (and the stunning looks) you brought to the party both Friday the 13th and Valentine's Day. There were 600 of you burning up our dance floor each night, and none of you disappointed.

A huge shoutout to our incredible DJ lineup: XdominionX, DJ Mikey Shadow, DJ Vic Dagger, and Asher Gray for providing the perfect darkwave and industrial beats all weekend. Our Goth Barge volunteers also brought their A-game, especially in the absence of our own Dance Commandr. Thankfully he's on the mend and made an appearance to preside over the coronation on Valentine's Day. We were thrilled to welcome back Julie Grace Immink, the photographer behind so many of these amazing photos, and we also owe a sincere thank-you to the Mad Planet staff for their top-tier professionalism and for being so awesome to work with.

On Friday, March 27th, we’re boarding the Hyatt’s iconic "flying saucer"-in the VUE Rooftop Ballroom-for a night of Goth, Industrial, and EBM.

We’ve summoned Dusty Gannon (Goth Dad / Vision Video) to join Team Goth Barge and command the decks at Milwaukee’s most legendary circular bar. It’s a high-altitude takeover featuring spectacular 360-degree views of the city skyline as our dance party backdrop.

Whether you’re a visiting strategist in town for the 2026 convention, a devotee looking for your Goth Dad fix, or a veteran of our core Barge crew, this event is open to everyone and no convention attendance is required to join the party.

If you do want to check out the gaming action beforehand, entry to the AdeptiCon convention floor is free to the public, making it the perfect way to spend the afternoon before heading up to the rooftop.

Join us for a high-altitude side quest. When the convention floor closes, the real campaign begins.

Wow. Just... WOW. From the bottom of our black little hearts, thank you to every single person who packed the X-Ray Arcade for the Subspace and Goth Barge annual HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR 2025! You broke the bank, you brought the style, and you absolutely brought the energy.

To the attendees: your costumes were truly next level! Seeing the $3,000 CASH PRIZE POOL handed out by the Dance Commandr in the ultimate, no-mercy costume contest was epic. Congratulations to our deserving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!

We also need to send the loudest possible thanks to our entire crew: the volunteers, the bartenders, the security staff, and every single person working behind the scenes.
