Register to create yours! We will be ordering flowers ahead of time, and want to make sure we order enough for everyone.

Join us for a fun Flower Arranging Workshop!

We will be making an arrangement (that retails for $230) for only $80!! (Premium upgrades available) AND it will be a true bash, complete with refreshments and music.

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Come out to Crystal Lake and give it a try!

All are welcome, but our workshop is offered for those 12 and up. Special pricing available for ages 12-15!

Beautiful arrangements with the specimen flower protea blushing bride as the feature in the arrangement. Protea blushing bride is a popular cut flower, known for its long vase life.

Serruria florida, commonly known as the Blushing Bride, is a South African native shrub in the Protea family, prized for its delicate, pink-tinged white flowers and fine, needle-like foliage. (I think it feels like it could be a cactus flower)

Serruria florida is a fynbos species that relies on fire for regeneration, with seeds germinating after a fire. However, too frequent fires can destroy the seed bank, making the plant vulnerable in the wild.

Flower Lore: The common name for this flower “Blushing Bride” comes from a tradition where young men would wear the flower when proposing, and the woman would blush upon seeing it.

🔥 FIRE AND ICE 🧊

It turned out a touch more firey than icy in the end, but that’s just a reflection of where we are in the seasons right now, just starting to dip into autumn temps.

I’ve been having fun playing with sourced flowers this fall. The Banksia speciosa flower, native to Australia, is especially interesting to work with, as it not only has those cone-shaped flowers, but also has really unique zig-zag leaves.

Also seen in this arrangement: eucalyptus, mums, purple kale, and salignum red blush leucadendron.

Just HAD to share some of the beauty found on our farm walk this evening. Can you believe that snapdragon?!? It’s a sunset 🌅

All in all, we feel pretty proud of this year’s planting expansion. ☺️ Very grateful. Very happy. It’s not always picture perfect, but we’ve created somewhere we love to be. 🥰

💍 Wedding shower gorgeousness!! We supplied flowers for a flower bar, centerpieces, and a statement-style arrangement for a beautiful bridal shower last weekend.

👰🏼The bride-to-be was beautiful, the venue was perfection, and the flowers were sweet and a fitting accent.

We love doing events like this, and are already booking our 2025 season! Weddings, showers, gifts - we’re here for it all as farmer-florists.
