I happily live in Hawley, MN with the love of my life Kyle, our beautiful son Aiden and the cutest, fluffiest, hypo-allergenic cat Blayze. As much for myself as for the people I am shooting for. I will be the first to admit that I have broken down crying during a father/daughter dance, where I knew that her dad was terminally ill and I could be capturing the last time they ever share a dance toget

her. I have burst out laughing during a ceremony, when the bride started making one funny face after another to her groom, as the ninety year old paster gave a monotone sermon for ten minutes. I love how capturing the best moments of other people's lives, makes me want to do more, be a better person, try harder, and love always. This isn't my hobby, this is my passion, my love, and I can honestly say, I don't want to do or be anything else. I want to share that love and grow in myself and my business with all of you. I want to make a difference, even in just one person's life, and as the children's story goes "I think I can." Yesterday, the world lost Charlie Kirk—a man who spoke boldly and stood firm in his faith and convictions. Please lift up his wife, his children, and his family in prayer as they walk through unimaginable loss.

Who I am

My Name is Sam Bacon. I'm 30 years old. I live in Hawley, MN with my boyfriend of a bazillion years with our first baby on the way, and the best cat in the world. I've been doing photography for 11 years and have worked in 3 different studios over a 6 year span, finally going out on my own 6 years ago. I am not into photography because I just like taking pretty pictures. I do photography for the moments remembered and cherished over generations, through the images that I have captured. As much for myself as for the people I am photographing for. I will be the first to admit that I have broken down crying during a father/daughter dance, when we all knew that her dad was terminally ill and I could be capturing the last time they ever shared a dance together. Six months later, that bride contacted me to let me know that her father had passed and thanked me for the wonderful memories I had created for her. That truly meant the world to me. I have also laughed during a ceremony, when the bride started making one funny face after another to her groom, as the ninety year old pastor gave a monotone sermon for ten minutes without once glancing up. I love how capturing the best moments of a person’s life, makes me cherish every moment with my loved ones even more. I rarely ever stop smiling while shooting a wedding or family session and again while going back through and editing them. This isn't my hobby, this is my passion, my love, and I promise to give you everything I can if you entrust me to capture your special moments.
