My name is Aaron Riddle and I am an official court-appointed Virginia civil marriage commissioner and professional wedding photographer serving Wi******er, VA and the surrounding area. I specialize in officiating elopement and small intimate wedding ceremonies in Virginia, and also serving as your photographer to capture you both on one o

f the most memorable days of your lives! Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, I moved out to Wi******er, VA with my wife in 2005 to start a family and fell in love with the area. While working for Lord Fairfax Community College as their graphic design and digital media specialist, I started my own wedding photography business in 2009 and have since photographed over 150 weddings of all sizes over the entire east coast. In 2016, I decided to add another aspect to my wedding photography packages – the authority to perform civil marriage ceremonies! I was honored to be court-appointed by Frederick County Virginia’s presiding Circuit Court Judge to legally marry couples anywhere in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I received a Bachelor of Visual and Performing Arts degree with a graphic design major in 2002 from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). I am happily married with two daughters and enjoy sports, fitness, the outdoors, and supporting the Navy SEALs.

For couples that choose to elope with The Woodland Package, many of them get to meet Zoe the Wedding Cat! 🐈💍❤️ This friendly feline is a rescue cat who is incredibly sociable. The majority of the time she shows up for the wedding ceremony to be a part of the celebration, purring for pets of course. The "mist" you see in this photo is in fact...not mist. It is smoke from the Canadian wildfires last week. The smoke blew down all the way into the Shenandoah Valley and engulfed much of the mountains in a smokey haze. It certainly created a memorable scene that morning for this couple (and we could not help but think of all those being affected by the wild fires up north 💔).
