Our Story
My husband and I started our own business, A&G Designworks, just before our daughter was born in 2009. We started attending local craft fairs and fell in love with the people - vendors, shoppers, the whole atmosphere of the local market. The things we sell have morphed and changed, adding some things, leaving others behind.
My husband, Gabriel, asked me in November 2014 if I would ever consider opening a store, and we thought about it. I even looked at a couple in the neighboring towns but nothing seemed right. If I ever did open a store, it would be in MY town, in Crosby. But again, nothing was just screaming my name... except one store. One day we were driving by Mr. Brady's lumberyard, and I told him "The only way I would ever open a store would be if it were in THAT place"... And we loved that store for as long as we possibly could.
The story continues as we moved from our own location at the lumber yard, and into the Antique store that was run by the one and only Annette Neal. This was a gift from above. She gave me the opportunity to stay at home and enjoy my children while she ran her store and sold our products as well as the teas that were left in our care by Mrs. Gena herself.
We are grateful to have been able to touch the lives of the friends and neighbors in our community. And ever so grateful for all these amazing artisans weโve met along the way. My handmade journey continues at my roots, in front of my sewing machine where I always knew Iโd end up.
Currently, my days are spent creating special โmemory bearsโ and pillows for those who have lost a loved one. This is an incredible opportunity and I am humbled to be able to create these keepsakes for my customers.
