THREADS THROUGH TIME FASHION SHOW TEA. Dear Members and Friends of the Wakulla County Historical Society,
Just a reminder that our signature America 250 event: “Threads Through Time: a historic clothing fashion show, is coming soon on Saturday, September 12 from 2-5 p.m. at the Crawfordville Women’s Club. We have over 30 entries of period clothing, some original pieces loaned to us from Goodwood and Riley House Museums, and some reproduction clothing brought to us, with short dramatic presentations, by Theatre with a Mission. Chuck Klieforth and Susan Solburg will narrate the history of Florida and Wakulla County, followed by clothing of the period worn by your friends and neighbors.
English tea will be served, featuring a menu of cucumber, ham salad and egg salad finger sandwiches, blueberry and ginger scones, served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, savory egg and spinach bakes and fresh strawberries, also enjoyed with clotted cream. Along with a variety of hot teas, sugar, lemon and cream. A limited number of seats are available, so purchase your tickets at wakullahistory.org or at the WCHS Museum.
