Dear Friends,
It's been a little while since I've had a chance to post, I hope you all are doing well.
I wanted to let you know that I have gotten messages, supposedly from Facebook, that they have received multiple complaints of posts with content they find "offensive" on my page in the past several weeks. Well, we know this to be "fake news" since I've not had the time to get on FB, much less post "offensive content". This message is saying I must get in touch with them at such-and-such web address to complain that someone has told fibs, and if I do not ,they will delete my page.
What I am thinking is that someone is fishing for me to click some link that will zap my computer into never-never land, and I'm not biting. BUT, I may be wrong. So if you go searching for the shop page in the near future and can't find it, just know I didn't delete it. Even though we no longer have the shop open, we have many fond memories on that page and would occasionally like to drop by and say hello to all of the friends we made during that season in our lives, and revisit the photo memories taken during that time.
We do still have some floral equipment for sale if you know of anyone searching for anything, as well as some inventory. Etsy shop is still going, and I hope that one day soon I will have a chance to get some of that information posted here. It is really amazing how busy retirement is! LOL!!!

Hello everyone! The shop will be open this week on Wednesday April 24th from 10:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m, and again on Friday April 26th from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.
We have all inventory on sale this week, and next week we will also have display furniture and fixtures on sale along with the inventory. Watch for our ad in this week's Echo for next week's hours. I will also create another post concerning next week's hours a little later this week.
Sale is 10-50% off this week---remaining items will be 10-60% off next week---selections are better the earlier you come. I will try and post prices on the pictures a little later today if possible.
I will respond to any comments or messages, however I will be in and out and a probably a little more out due to other obligations today, so I may not respond immediately🙂.

Good morning friends! I spent yesterday taking care of the last of our fresh flowers that are in the cooler. Amazingly, most of them were still really pretty. Soooo, even though I had not planned to sell anymore fresh arrangements, these are still just too pretty to toss.

Today only, all fresh vase arrangements and mixed stem bouquets are 50%--60% off regular price. However, today will be the final day that they can be picked up, the cooler will be unplugged at the end of the day.

Maybe you know someone who needs a pick-me-up, or just a reminder that you think they are special. We are planning to be here until 4:00 this afternoon. If you're interested in stopping by but just can't get here before 4:00, please give us a call and let us know what time you can make it, we will be happy to wait for you if it's at all possible. As always, we appreciate each of you, our valued customers and friends.

Posting a few pictures of what we currently still have available in the shop. I will try to do several posts of different sale prices.....I'm not sure if I will be able to label individual pictures or not. This group consists of cemetery arrangements and memorial pieces. We still have a good selection of cemetery cones and pots, however headstone sprays and baskets ae getting low. All of these are on sale this week and next at 10% off the regular price.

Good morning friends! As promised, I am posting information for you concerning the hours we will be in the shop this week, and what we have going on. This week and next week the shop will be open Thursday and Friday from 9:30-4:30 if you would like to stop by and pick out any of our sale items.

Sale will be 10--50% off the original price on most of the inventory in the shop.

This will be a great time to pick up gift items for any occasion. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Nurse's and Teacher's Appreciation Day, and Graduation are all just around the corner, and birthdays come on a regular basis. And of course, for the really enthusiastic shopper, it's a wonderful time to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping! 😀

We do still have a few plants and fresh flowers available this week, however, we are unable to deliver, so all items will need to be picked up in the store.

Those hours again are: 9:30--4:30 Thursday and Friday, April 4 & 5
And 9:30--4:30 Thursday and Friday April 11 & 12.

We are also setting up appointments to meet with those who have expressed an interest in purchasing the shop to keep it open. If anyone else would like to discuss this further, please be sure to send a message and I can set up an appointment time for you.

*****************BUSINESS FOR SALE!!***********

Good afternoon friends! I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday concerning the shop and where we have come to as far as being unable to keep it open. I mentioned to her that I had really hoped to sell the business, as I believe it is something that our county needs, but that it just hasn't worked out to do so which leaves us to close the existing Full Service Florist.

It was at that time that my friend asked me if we had considered posting the shop FOR SALE on Facebook. I answered that I had already done that, or at least I thought I had.

Well, it turns out I haven't done that! I've posted several times about the different things going on with our moms and needing to close for a few weeks to work that out. I've posted requests for help and offered training to attempt to keep it open, and explained to those who contacted us about a job that this was a business opportunity we were offering and that the business was actually for sale. I'm not sure what else I posted concerning the changing of the business, but I was surprised to realize I never actually posted that the shop is FOR SALE! And that it has been for sale for the past year, just waiting for the right person to come along who is interested in being a florist. I guess I must have thought you were all able to read my mind! I do apologize for not making it more clear.

So I've said all that to say this: We would love to sell the business to someone who would enjoy it and love it as much as we have. Someone who wants to serve the people of Oglethorpe County and keep this business going locally. Someone who has a passion for the floral industry and all that is involved in it. Someone who maybe has a dream to own their own business and help others out during special times in their lives.

Hello Friends! Spring is here and things are beginning to bud, bloom, and grow by leaps and bounds! Much beauty surrounds us!
It is at this time of seasonal changes and new beginnings that we are also facing a change. One that has been forthcoming for a little while.

This upcoming week in March will be our last week of operating as a Full Service Florist. We have enjoyed our years spent in this wonderful position of being your "Home Town Florist", and making this decision has not come easy for us. However, seasons do change, time marches on, and with each ending of one season in life there is a new beginning of the next season. It is now time for a new season in our lives. It will be interesting to see just where the next season leads us.

Beginning the month of April, we will no longer be making deliveries or have fresh cut flowers or plants available. We will be here in the physical shop maybe one or two days during each week if you need to pick up silks or other items. I will be posting more information concerning the details of days and times at a later time.

During that time, we will have the shop equipment, furniture & fixtures, and a good portion of the inventory available for purchase. I will also continue to operate the on-line Etsy store with silk arrangements, florist supplies, and other inventory available for you to shop from your computer screen at your convenience in the comfort of your home.

We want to thank all of you for allowing us to be a part of your lives in so many ways through the years. You have given us your trust by allowing us to serve you in your times of need, whether that need was sorrowful or joyful, and we appreciate that trust. We will always treasure your friendship and support, our time together, and the memories made and shared.
