I wanted to take this opportunity to give everyone a little update.

SNACX officially closed its kitchen right after Mardi Gras - and I’m back to work in full swing at as a Felony Prosecutor at the District Attorney’s Office in St. Tammany.

So much has changed in such a short amount of time - and even though I miss creating beautiful boards for so many of you - I’m in a much happier and healthier place.

More importantly, my heart is so full to see my girl and her husband Taylor turning the SNACX kitchen at 501 N. Theard St. Suite 4 into !

The Dry Oak is Louisiana’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop - and a “must go see” for those who are living a sober lifestyle, those who may be sober curious, or even those (like me) who just enjoy having upscale one of a kind non-alcoholic options!

This couple has such a compelling story and mission - and it makes me incredibly happy to see them and their new business thriving in our old space!

Trust me - if those walls could talk, honey - they would give you an earful and pass you a glass of (non-alcoholic) wine!!

So.

I get back into town after the holiday and my SNACX staff said they fulfilled a “special custom order” for a bachelorette party while I was gone.

It takes a lot to make me speechless.

I’m at a loss y’all. 😳🤣👀🤷‍♀️👏🏆

Welp.

All I guess I can say is I’m glad orders are still “up” after Thanksgiving!

P.S. The meat was served separately!!

In order to stay competitive in an ever changing business environment and to also keep up with rising food costs, SNACX will be increasing its prices beginning December 1st at a rate of an additional $10 per board.

If you know me personally, you know I don’t sugarcoat things.

I am very much dedicated to continuing to provide the best tasting and highest quality boards in the greater New Orleans area. If you have ordered from SNACX before, you know I never sacrifice the quality of our ingredients, nor do I skimp on the amount of food you receive.

In fact - I have “eaten” many costs to this business in the past year to make sure SNACX continues on at the same level and same price point our clients have become accustomed to.

I DO NOT make any boards from my home. This is not a “side hustle” for me and we are the ONLY licensed, permitted, and insured charcuterie company in the region with a Grade A health inspected commercial facility.

We pay our taxes, we pay for all of our licenses to operate legally, and we also pay extra to make sure you NEVER receive pre-cut, pre-sliced items.

Remember - “This isn’t grocery store cheese.”

This past Saturday, Molly’s son Jax turned ONE at a circus themed party at my house! As you can see - he was the ringmaster of the Greatest Show on Earth!

A huge thank you to all who attended and especially .shop for the beautiful balloons, for the delicious cotton candy, for the epic bounce house, for the stellar face painting, for the train and ferris wheel, and Pony Tales for the sweet horses!

I’m a little late on the post-Beyoncé concert post.

As you can see - it was a SNACX reunion and my girl joined me to go see the Queen 🐝! Truth be told - We are still recovering!

If you were lucky enough to be there - you already know she did not disappoint!!

This month marks one year that I became the sole owner of SNACX and one year since Molly stepped away to focus on being Mom!

I splurged on Club Renaissance tickets to celebrate how far we BOTH have come in the past 12 months!

What a ride this past year has been - but as B would say - “Bad bi***es to the left, money bi***es to the right.” 🤣😘

Full disclosure - the past 4 weeks have been difficult on me both personally and professionally.

It’s easy - especially as a small business owner - to get insecure about who you are, your talents, and what you bring to the table. Burn out is a real thing. Verbal validation from family and friends can only take me so far when I get in the wrong headspace.

But let me tell you something - the one thing that always brings me out of a funk is doing a meet and greet SNACX event. I was so honored to be a part of the 14th Spa Anniversary celebration of .fitness in Covington today!

I met so many clients, fans, and followers! All of the staff and every single attendee was so sweet and complimentary - not only of SNACX - but of me also!

I already knew all of the facilities at Stone Creek were first class (the spa is to DIE for) but I didn’t realize how welcoming the vibe is. That means a lot - especially to someone like me who is taking a more focused interest in their health and well being.

In fact…you actually might be seeing SNACX at Stone Creek more often….stay tuned! 🍃
