Two more local upcoming events to add to your calendar!

The Inaugural Fyvie Farms First Responder Event will take place on Saturday, October 2 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 111 East Country Club Lane in Covington. There will be activities for kids, bounce houses, a safety trailer on display, firefighter drills, K9 Tactics, dunk tank, bingo, live bands, a car show by Kars Unlimited and more! All proceeds will benefit Alleghany County Volunteer Firefighter/Rescue Squads, with a small portion going to the Back the Blue Scholarship Fund.

WestWinds Venue located at 4905 Indian Draft Road in Covington invites EVERYONE to FarmFEST 2021 on Saturday, October 16th from Noon until 8 pm. There will be live entertainment by Cody Wickline, Jack Gregori, and Brooke McGrady, as well as 4 bands, food and craft vendors, dancing by Garlynda' s Fancy Feet, Alleghany Mountain Baggers Cornhole tournaments, hayrides to the pond, sight seeing jeep tours by Appalachian Ridge Runners and more.
