The days are long but the years are short is a phrase I never really fully understood until my kids were school aged.

The baby years felt repetitive and never ending … and yes, your baby is changing every day. But when they reach the big kid years, it’s like all those little changes suddenly hit you. And you realize just how much time flew … how much they’ve grown from that squishy baby, how much they’ve changed from that adorable babbling stage, and how far time has taken you from the days of Sesame Street & stroller walks around the neighborhood.

Suddenly you see your baby getting their drivers license… going off to college … walking down the aisle …. Becoming a parent themselves.

You are aware of just how precious time is.

My motherhood journey is going by almost as fast as their childhood. And as my kids get older, creating little memories with them feels all the more important. Because I’m not getting this time back … this day will never happen again. So I find myself wanting to make all the little mundane moments special! And it’s why I love my job so much, because I get to help moms, like you, make it easier to celebrate the little moments and create the magical childhood memories.

So today, I’m gonna squeeze these big kids a little tighter and put together a fun back to school breakfast because I know time is a thief.
