For approximately three years, my bridal couple, Sienna and Tristen, have been meticulously planning their special day. Sienna and her mother have been purchasing decorative items and arranging centerpieces, while Sienna and Tristen have been attending bridal shows for inspiration. Yesterday, however, the inclement weather, which featured rain, wind, and a sudden drop in temperature, would have prompted many couples to seek shelter. Nevertheless, Sienna's vision for an outdoor ceremony beneath a couple of trees, surrounded by loved ones, remained unwavering. Fortunately, her dream became a reality.
Although the rain persisted in the Greenville area for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, the barn was decorated, and vendors arrived on schedule. As the rain subsided slightly, the owners began setting up chairs, positioning barrels on either side of the aisle, and I worked beneath an umbrella to add the finishing touches to the decor. Upon completion, the ceremony site was breathtaking, featuring bright green leaves on the trees, a wooden octagon arbor, florals, and white chairs arranged on the lush green grass. As the rain ceased, the chairs were dried, the DJ was ready, and guests began arriving. It was finally their moment.
As I coordinated the bridesmaids' procession, I noticed Sienna's calm and smiling demeanor, which had been consistent throughout the day. Unfazed by the rain and wind, she was focused solely on her wedding. As Sienna and her mother walked down the aisle, the warmth and love from the gathering had trumped the weather. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy, and for approximately 15 minutes, all eyes were on Sienna and Tristen, rather than the sky.
Congratulations to the newlyweds! I am grateful to have been a part of their journey and to have had the opportunity to work with Sienna, her mother, and their family. May their love continue to flourish, and may they cherish countless memories together. Cheers to the happy couple and their families!
