The beautiful art of the first look. I’ve filmed many first looks over the years, and my biggest piece of advice is to take your time and really soak in the moment.
Pretend like the photography team isn’t there and just be present.
As I’m putting a microphone on couples, I always say, “This moment will probably be one of the only times you won’t be pulled in a million different directions, so just take it in!” Moments like these are sacred, and we never interrupt them.
This is also a great time to exchange personal vows or read letters to each other, especially if you’re feeling a little nervous about doing so during the ceremony.
Whether it’s a first look with your partner, family, friends, or a large man in a slightly too-short dress, it’s a great way to calm the nerves and share a special moment with the people you love.
