📣 Official Announcement: New Ownership of the Hurricane Area Super Sprints
We are proud to announce that Lane Whittington and Jake Brashier have officially purchased the Hurricane Area Super Sprints.
Lane and Jake share a deep passion for sprint car racing and are committed to keeping this sport alive and thriving throughout the South. Their goal is to preserve the excitement, tradition, and competitive spirit that make sprint car racing so special.
While Lane and Jake will provide overall leadership and direction, a dedicated team will operate under them to manage the series, work with participating tracks, and ensure each race event runs smoothly and professionally.
This marks an exciting new chapter for the Hurricane Area Super Sprints, and both Lane and Jake are eager to build upon the strong foundation that has already been established.
Stay tuned for updates, schedules, and announcements as they prepare for an exciting 2026 season.
🏁 The tradition continues — stronger than ever.
Lane Whittington shared:
“Although I will be one of the people behind the scenes, I’m still committed to continuing my racing career. That’s why we will have a trusted team in place to handle operations at the track. When I’m at the track, I’ll be there as a driver — not as a series owner. I look forward to working with the tracks and racers to make this series a success.”
Jake Bashier shared:
“It’s an honor to take over the series. I’ll still be racing full time, but I’m committed to making this the best it can be — for the drivers, teams, and fans.”
