I wholeheartedly believe in being a lifelong learner - no matter what you do! Last night I took a centerpiece class at the shop of a florist I deeply admire - - and had so much fun! I’m a total sponge when it comes to different techniques or styles - a new angle to consider, the placement of certain textures, etc. I always walk away feeling refreshed and excited to apply my new knowledge!

Happiest of holidays from R&J. May the next few days be filled with joy and warmth and memories to last a lifetime! ♥️

Had so much fun taking Christmas red and green beyond the typical pine and berries. Playing with new shapes and product was worth the risk! Thank you for the opportunity to bring a little holiday cheer to your store!

Loved having a bouquet bar at my bridal shower last weekend! Not only was it the perfect way to infuse my love of flowers into the day - everyone who came loved the activity! We re-used candle hurricanes as vases, ordered the craft paper from Amazon, used twine we already had on hand, and I ordered everything through my amazing wholesaler in Columbus ! Even if you don’t have a wholesale license, you can easily create the same impact with florals from Trader Joe’s, Costco, or your local grocery store! 💐 And - this office smelled AMAZING all day!

I haven’t played with flowers in a while, but I just ordered some for my own bridal shower next weekend and one of my favorites is on the list! These insane coral charm peonies that scream SUMMER 🌺🌺 can’t wait to show you all the fun that we have planned for the shower - you’ll all agree it’s very 💐 until then, I’ll leave you with this bridal bouquet that is bursting with gorgeous color 😍

Maybe I’m giving away my secrets, but I haven’t done a mock-up like this in a while and I’m feeling my creative juices flowing - so I figured why not!

I’m a super visual person. Very much measure 500 times cut once (just ask my fiancé 😂🙈). So mocking up floral combos before ordering is my approach to designing all of my work! I need to see the colors and textures play off each other. Think about height and weight. Understand where I have free flowing stems and where I have some rigidity. I mix and match until I think I have what I want!

Everyone has a different creative approach, but this definitely works for me. I mean I’m doing it with home furnishings too! 😂

Speaking of a new home, WE MOVED!

R&J is now located in southeastern Indiana. Lawrenceburg to be exact! I am still serving the greater Cincinnati area, but a few things are changing:
- I will not be able to accommodate last minute orders anymore do to being located much farther away from my wholesalers.
- I will only be taking orders with 2 weeks notice, this allows me to plan and be efficient with my time!
- I am still taking event and wedding orders (starting in Sept. 2021) and of course require a few months notice for those as well.

I can’t wait to show you my new workshop setup as it comes together and look forward to continuing to provide beautiful flowers to you all! 💕

I miss flowers. Finally get to squeeze in some design work in a few weeks for a dear friend. Counting down the days 💕
