Cottonwood Rodeo Come to Cottonwood, Calif. and see what a real hometown rodeo is all about. Each year, during Mother's Day weekend, the residents of Cottonwood, Calif.

get together and kick up their cowboy (and cowgirl) heels. A full slate of activities occurs, from the annual kick-off barbeque, Ladies Night Out, Kiddie Parade, regular rodeo parade and, of course, the rodeo. and see what a real hometown rodeo is like.

Whew. The dust has settled and a new queen has been crowned so now’s the time when we get to thanking the businesses and people who made our Miss Cottonwood Rodeo Queen competition possible. 👑 First up, our saddle sponsor (which was ordered TODAY!) 🐎 and so a big, HUGE thank you goes out to Myers & Sons Construction. Wow. What a great local business to step up to the plate when our program was in need. We can’t thank you enough!!

Today is a day filled with joy and sadness. Today we get to crown a new queen, but we also have to say goodbye to the current Miss Cottonwood Rodeo, Kiana Kinnie. This goodbye is particularly hard because Kiana has been an outstanding queen, and we mean OUTSTANDING! She is the sole reason we have a saddle sponsor. Then, she topped that and brought in even more money for a new pair of chaps. Wow. What a legacy. It sounds trite, but whoever takes her place will have nearly impossible boots to fill. So, Kiana, take a bow. You are an amazing human being. We will miss you but your legacy will always live on. Truly, the queen 👑 of our ♥️.
