One of the venues I work with in Calistoga has me as their photographer for weddings and events. Most of the time, because of how the booking process works and couples coming in from out of state, I don’t often get the chance to meet the couples in person beforehand and end up meeting them for the first time on the wedding day. Which is totally fine, but I really love having the chance to connect before whenever possible.

Well, these two took me up on that offer, and I’m so glad they did! They were SOOO adorable and sweet together. I’m really happy we got the chance to connect before their wedding next year in Calistoga and spend a fun evening chasing the sunset together at Crane Creek ❤️

I love getting to be part of several chapters in people’s lives, and with Morgan and Nathan, I was there for the proposal and now I get to be there for the wedding day too! He proposed at V. Sattui Winery, and it was such a surprise for her. I really liked them both right away and was really hoping they would contact me again once they set a date… and they did!!!

These are the photos we took to celebrate their engagement + one from back at the proposal :). We shot at Crane Creek Regional Park. Such a fun and beautiful couple. I just know the wedding day will be beautiful and memorable as well.

What can I even say about these two! They came to their session ready to have fun no matter what. It was SO windy, it was cold… and who even cares. We had a blast.

I didn’t want it to end. We kept shooting until the sun dropped into the ocean. I laughed so much while culling and editing this one. Ended up delivering almost 300 photos.

It was an 80's themed birthday party for a VERY special lady.

One of my brides from 13 years ago who is also a mom with kids that I get to photograph every year! So of course I am super excited to be there to take photos on her birthday! It was such a fun night. I love a whole evening of taking candid photos! I even brought an old film camera just for a couple rolls of retro looking shots to mix in.

One of the sweetest weddings I have been to in some time. It took place atOlympia's Valley Estate, a great venue in Petaluma. (and they have cows!)

A young couple so deeply in love, surrounded by a huge, supportive family. It’s hard to fully explain the feeling, but the best way I can describe it is innocent, pure love with a strong future ahead of them.

I feel like taking photos at this one was a gift, to me.

They came in from Oregon. With so many beautiful spots around here, we really went back and forth between all the endless location options. I suggested Jack London, we almost chose a winery last minute but the winery said nope ( they always do), so they trusted me and we went with my original plan and voilà! Perfect spot, great light and a super adorable couple. Photos turned out great. Mom and dad accompanied us on the shoot sooooo, they had to pay the toll in the end 😄. ( I made them take some pics together too ) Great session together. Wedding day will be here in no time.

I got a phone call, and this sweet voice asked me if I wanted to photograph a birthday party in Sausalito. It was her own party, she was making all the plans. She wanted to know if I was a photographer who captures candid photos. I said, “LADY! You came to the right person. Sign me up!”

It ended up being such a blast. I was so inspired by all these people. I won’t reveal their ages, but let me just say—they are looking AMAZING. So healthy, so vibrant. I was blown away. All I wanted to do was find out everyone’s secrets. “Always exercise,” one said. “Get a good esthetician,” said another. “Stay happy,” someone else added.

Come to find out, she found me because the venue had me on their list. Crazy, I had no idea. I think I was there maybe once, like five years ago. How flattering that the venue even remembered me and added me like that back then. It’s not like I hand out cards and schmooze the way I probably should, haha.

Anyway, such a great party.

In this life, you never really know where you may end up. For some of us, myself included, years pass, paths change from trails which you thought you would always travel. Somewhere along the way you find your soulmate. From that point on, life becomes something fresh and unexpected. You begin to bloom into your true self, your best self, and everything moving forward starts to feel easy and right.

It was so very special to be there to witness this elopement. True love. New life commitment together as one.
