Little soapbox moment incoming! 📣

There’s a big part of my life that I don’t talk about often, but it’s shaped me in ways I never expected. Since moving to Corvallis 11 years ago, I’ve served on 8 boards and counting, including a term as a Budget Commissioner for the City of Corvallis. It’s been a deep dive into city government, full of listening, learning, and realizing that even after a decade, there’s always more to understand.

One thing I have learned? Real change starts at the local level. Your voice and vote matter here immensely. If you’ve ever felt like making a difference is out of reach I encourage you to get involved- whether it’s within the city or county, join a board/committee! You have more power than you think.

I’ve got some exciting news to share: I’ve been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year at Celebrate Corvallis! 🤯☺️🥰

I never set out to be an entrepreneur. It just kind of happened, and somehow, here I am 11 years later! This journey has given me incredible opportunities, the flexibility to work hard but on my own terms, and most importantly, the chance to do meaningful work in our community.

I’m beyond honored (and a little overwhelmed) by this nomination. It doesn’t quite feel real, and I can’t help but feel undeserving. But I’m grateful… grateful for the people who have supported me, the businesses and organizations I’ve been able to work with, and the community that makes this all worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. No matter what happens, I’m just thankful to be here in Corvallis, bustling away! 💫

Let’s talk about how underrated Arrowhead Plants (Syngonium podophyllum) are! Easily one of my all-time favorites, these beauties come in a stunning variety of colors and are super easy to care for. Bonus? They’re incredibly simple to propagate, making them perfect for sharing with friends (or expanding your collection!).

Next time you spot one at your local plant shop, take it home, you won’t regret it! 😊💚🌿
