Sean and I are exactly one month away from saying "I do" :) It's crunch time!

Once you get into the final few weeks prior to the big day, it's extremely important to touch base with all of your vendors to make sure you're on the same page. Whether you need to schedule an in-person meeting or just send a re-cap email, never feel "bad" about contacting your vendors! Timelines and checklists can be very helpful in keeping you on track and ensuring you are giving yourself enough time to work out any kinks or obstacles that may arise.

This weekend we will be meeting with our priest and photographer - stay tuned ;)

Trendy Tuesday Alert!

I should have done this from the get-go, but my shout-out tonight goes to our awesome reception venue, Homestead Blessings. Just when we thought we weren't going to find anything (or were going to have to settle with a more expensive, but not get what we really wanted type venue) my co-worker shared Homestead Blessing's page with me. After meeting with Christianna and touring the barn, my fiancé and I knew this was it. Christianna and her mother Susan have been great to work with and I'm so happy to have found a vendor that enjoys weddings just as much as I do :)

We had one of our final meetings tonight, which is the main reason why I felt as though I needed to share how awesome they are with you ;) The Barn has a rustic country feel to it, that's simple, yet graceful. Sooo it's been a while! I admit I have been slacking BIG TIME on keeping this page updated, however, things have been a bit crazy as I've been busy planning my own wedding! I have thoroughly enjoyed it and have decided that over the next month I will share (most of) my ideas, tips, and tricks - the rest are a secret until after the big day ;) I hope you find these helpful and/or inspirational - please feel free to comment or message me if you have any questions!

Trendy Tuesday Alert!

Now that Christmas is over I can finally share with you all my DIY bridesmaid proposal boxes 😉 I love this idea because there's so many variations and so much you can do! I decided to go with a simple wine theme using my girls' favorite bottle of wine and designed both the label and glasses with (some of) my wedding colors - I love pink and sparkle if you couldn't tell 😋 For wrapping, I used plain white gift boxes and tied them with ribbon for presentation.

If you're interested in using this idea, here are the places to find inspiration: The labels for the wine bottles were ordered from iCustomLabel.com, the stemless wine glasses were a custom Etsy order from WorkOfHeartGifts, and the card was a template printed from Pinterest.

As I've began the wonderful, exciting, and somewhat stressful part of my own planning, I wanted to share my starting point with all of you. You may or may not have heard of The Knot, but this is a great place for all of you brides out there to begin your search, especially if you are someone who needs a little help. Although I do not recommend using this website alone as there are hundreds of other places out there unlisted, The Knot provides you with a pretty reputable list of venues/ceremony locations to look into based on location. Not to mention, they also offer other resources such as checklists, vendors, and theme ideas.

So when you have a few minutes (or more like an hour!) check out the website at theknot.com :)
