STORY TIME… Let me tell you about my 2025 fitness journey!
•
In a world full of influencers and coaches saying “you can do it” if you just want it bad enough, I want to share a more real story — mine.
•
In 2025, I made a personal commitment to do everything in my power to get back to the level of fitness I once had — or as close as possible.
•
If you’re new here, let me give you some context. Over the past six years, life has been a whirlwind of change:
• The pandemic hit in 2020
• Wedding planning in 2021
• Welcomed baby #1 in 2022
• Welcomed Baby #2 mid-2024
• Purchased a commercial building for our new kitchen late 2024
• Purchased another commercial location to complement the new kitchen early 2025
•
And although — except the pandemic — these were all amazing changes in my life, they do take a toll on you with stress and physical exhaustion.
•
Fitness has always been a part of my identity, I was always an athletic kid, so being out of shape never sat right with me. (Imagine… I grew up idolizing Jean-Claude Van Damme) 😂
•
I’ve never been a drinker, but for some time I had been enjoying a glass of wine and a comfort meal on Wednesdays, and again on Fridays, then a couple of drinks and indulgent food on weekends. My workouts became more about maintaining than improving, and if life got stressful, my motivation to train disappeared quickly.
•
But in the first week of March this year, I drew the line. I committed to working out at least four times a week — and making every session count. No drinks or comfort meals during the week. On weekends, I limited myself to 2–3 drinks max — and some weekends, none at all.
Once I started seeing results, it was all she wrote from there. I built on the progress and everything became easier.
While I did start two months later than ideal for a full summer transformation, I gave it everything I had — setbacks and all.
It’s only mid-summer, but fitting into the same swimwear I rocked back in 2018 is a huge win for me. I’m 5’6” and remember stepping on the scale at 189 lbs at one point I’m now at 177 for the first time in over six years and still pushing on my way to 44 💪🏻

That’s my fitness story so far for 2025!
