The 19th season of the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival runs May 7 - October 8, 2017 and features classical masterworks as well as musical innovators. In 1999, flutist Linda Chesis began the Cooperstown Chamber Music Festival with a three concert series. Since then, the festival has grown to offer the region more than 100 concerts, spanning a wide range of musical genres including classical, con

temporary, jazz , bluegrass, children’s, and cabaret performances. The Festival has featured internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles such as Hank Jones, the Tokyo String Quartet, the American String Quartet, the St. Lawrence String Quartet, the Horszowski Trio, Kurt Elling, Tim Fain, Bill Charlap, Keisuke Wakao, the Tierney Sutton Band, the Juilliard String Quartet, Simone Dinnerstein, and Mark O’Connor. The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival, which will mark its 21st season in 2019, features classical masterworks, jazz, as well as musical innovators.
