I just expanded my early 60s doo-wop collection with some Laurie Records compilations. Hardly any DJs today have my level of passion for the oldies.

In addition to some family obligations, today was "rearrange my equipment day."

I now have everything organized as follows:

● Everything I always use for my main sound system in one case.

● All of my back-up units for my main rig in one case.

● All of my lighting in one case.

It feels wonderful to be so organized.

Back in the early 2000s, I had a DJ partner who I still miss very much.

It was nice taking turns and sharing the various performance tasks.

That's why I am very excited for one of my upcoming gigs where I will be the sound engineer / DJ, while a coworker handles the MC duties.

It is going to be epic!
