Dogwood Performance Pavilion Dogwood Performance Pavilion is an outdoor venue for theatre, concerts and community events. The Pavilion may be rented for events with the CPAC Staff.

Dogwood Performance Pavilion is located in beautiful and shady Dogwood Park behind the Performing Arts Center in Cookeville Tennessee. Shakespeare in the Park (Tennessee Recreation & Parks Association BEST PROGRAM Award, 2006), Third Thursday in the Park Free Concert Series, Cookeville Community Concert Band concerts, Jazz in Cookeville, Bryan Symphony Orchestra concerts, and a variety of events take place in Dogwood Park. Past performers on the Dogwood Performance Pavilion stage include: The Old Crow Medicine Show; Blue Mother Tupelo; Sierra Hull, The New Familiars, The Cluster Pluckers; The Peasall Sisters, Brian Ashley Jones; Monte Montgomery; The Gypsy Hombres; Liz Johnson; Howling Brothers; BadaBingBadaBoom; Victor Mecyssne; Amy Wadkins; The Silver Wings Air Force Band, Sean McCullough and Evergreen Street; Lori Mechem, Rebecca Sayre, Jeff Hall, Rod McGaha, Annie Sellick, San Rafeal, Kristine Mylls, and many others. Our Shakespeare in the Park MMXXVI performances are nearing their end, but the fun is not over yet!

You still have two chances to see ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL in the Dogwood Performance Pavilion tonight or tomorrow (10/9 & 10/10) at 7pm In Dogwood Park!

If you’re looking to add even more fun to your Shakespearean day then you are welcome to join us for the 2026 Dogwood Shakespeare Festival on Saturday 10/10 between 12-5 where the park will be filled with Shakespearean performance, hands on activities, and vendors- all leading up to our closing performance of All’s Well That Ends Well that evening!

IT IS ALMOST TIME!!!

The 2026 Dogwood Shakespeare Festival is THIS SATURDAY from 12-5pm and we are so excited for this year’s festivities!

Crafters and artists from all over the area will be set up and ready to share their skills with you! Learn to carve your own rubber stamp at the Lewis artists booth! Make memories by taking a picture at the SparrowMoose photo booth! Learn a quick and easy courtly dance with the TTU Swing Dance club! Cheer on your favorite actor/competitor during the monologue competition! Bring the little ones to enjoy the massive kids area provided by Imagine Foundry!

There will be no shortage of fun to be had, so we can’t wait to see you there!

NOTICE:

"Shakespeare in the Park – Tonight’s Performance Canceled

Due to the forecast calling for rainfall between 5:00–8:00 p.m. tonight, tonight’s Shakespeare in the Park performance of All’s Well That Ends Well has been canceled.

This decision was made with the safety of our performers and crew in mind, as well as to protect the technical equipment and materials being used for the production.

We know many of you were looking forward to tonight’s performance, and we appreciate your understanding.

The good news is that there are still plenty of opportunities to see the show! Remaining performances are scheduled for:

October 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 & 10 at 7pm

We hope you’ll join us for one of these remaining performances and enjoy an evening of Shakespeare in the Park!

Are you planning to attend the 2026 DOGWOOD SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL next Saturday the 10th?

There will be many local organizations that afternoon providing wares, information, and activities! One of which is the TTU Swing Dance Club who will offer courtly dance lessons in our performance arena that day at 3:30!

“Tennessee Tech Swing Dance Club is teaching courtly dances for the Shakespeare festival, although our expertise is in lindy hop and other styles of swing dance! We have lessons every Thursday at 8:30, which are geared towards students, but open to the community as well. We are selling baked goods to fund-raise for our various events and social dances held throughout the year.”
