Hey everyone. Ive had several ask about adding a event to next year. This one would not be in Algood. It would have to be at one (new or old). Fairgrounds or another place. Honestly the old fairgrounds is over run with to many events so im just getting a feel from all of the vendors.

What location would vendors like in putnam county?
How many would be interested?
What type of event is Cookeville missing?

As always I would avoid dates of any other large events that I know most of the vendors do with the other coordinators.

Gates open at 5pm. Free to attend! Great band- great food vendors and a spectacular fireworks display scheduled for 9pm.

The Annual City Wide Yard sale in Algood will be Friday, June 5th and Saturday June 6th, 2026.
All City of Algood residents who wish to participate this year by hosting a yard sale on their own property will not be required to obtain yard sale permit, and participation does not count against the yearly permit allowance.
If you're a city resident, and have been thinking of having a yard sale then this will be the perfect weekend to do so. In years past there have been tons of early bird shoppers out on the hunt for a good yard sale, and June 5th and 6th, many will flock to Algood. It will be lots of fun.
No need for residents to register, just set up and happy selling.
For any shoppers interested- simply come to Algood and cruise all around town looking for a deal. While you're in town, we hope you'll also check out some of the great restaurants and businesses.
