When I saw Unwritten on her must-play list surrounded by 2010 anthems, I didn’t just add it to a playlist, I built a memory around it.

Here are some of the most beautiful ways to involve your guests during your first dance:

📱 Phone Light Semi-Circle
Ask guests to gather around the dance floor in a semi-circle and turn on their phone flashlights halfway through the song. The effect is absolutely magical.

💃 Open Invite at the 2-Minute Mark
Have your DJ or emcee invite everyone to join you on the floor after the first 2:00 mins. You still get your private moment, then suddenly you’re dancing with your favorite people. Cue the tears.

🎵 The Genre Flip
