Built for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, the Georgia International Horse Park continues its legacy by hosting world-class equine competitions, mountain biking, and special events year-round. Since opening its gates in September of 1995, the GIHP has already served as the equestrian venue for the largest sporting event in the world: The 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The

Park was the setting for the equestrian events, first ever mountain bike competition, and the final two events of the modern pentathlon. Today, the tradition continues as the GIHP plays host to a remarkable variety of special events. Throughout the year, many events take place at the Park including horse shows, mountain bike races, weddings, banquets, festivals, concerts, rodeos, outdoor sporting events and much more. The Horse Park facility also includes the Big Haynes Creek Nature Center, Horse Trails, Mountain Bike Trails, and Rockdale County Master Gardener Arboretum. Office Hours:

Track through the mud! This trail course will feature mud, walls, ropes, monkey bars and 15+ other obstacles along unique terrain. Get ready to jump, climb, navigate, roll and even crawl your way through the GIHP trails. Kids as young a 7-years-old can race the 5K course and there's a Mini Monkey course for even younger kids.
