GQHA Three-Day Horse Show:

The Summer Finale will be September 4-6. It will be a full show with 2 judges. There will be Rookie, Level 1, Youth, Amateur and Open classes in Ranch, Speed, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Halter and Pattern classes.

The Atlanta Dressage4Kids Lendon’s Youth Dressage Festival is almost here! 🐴

If you have a young rider who has never participated before, this is important to know: this is a SCHOOLING SHOW that counts toward GDCTA Year-end awards, and it is absolutely beginner friendly.

The Dressage4Kids Festival is designed to be an educational, encouraging experience for junior and young riders of all levels, from those just getting started in competition to more advanced competitors.

Lendon Gray's Dressage4Kids TEAM (Training, Education and Mentoring) 3-day Clinic (Fri/Sat/Sun) and Atlanta Youth Festival. The Festival is a unique competition with a Saturday evening Kick-Off Dinner with Panel Discussion. Sunday's competition starts with a Written Test, One Dressage Test, and a group Equitation Class for an overall winner. Atlanta is proud to be the 3rd largest D4K Festival in the Country, after New York and Midwest!

Equine Emergency Response Awareness Clinic

Hosted by the Athens Area Horse Community, LLC

Individuals can attend an awareness level course to receive a TLAER Inc Awareness Level Certification. This is the most important level to attend for horse and barn owners, veterinarians, firefighters, Animal Control/Services, and law enforcement officers.

Dr Rebecca Gimenez Husted travels all around the world teaching technical large animal emergency rescue. She is highly skilled, adept, and engaging. Rebecca has a PhD in animal physiology and taught Biology, Immunology, and Microbiology at Anderson College. Rebecca is a veteran of the US Army Reserves and a volunteer Fire Fighter in her home town. Her impressive list of professional accomplishments is too long to list here. We are looking for volunteers to help us clean up our garden for the fall season on Thurs, August 27 from 9:30am-12:30pm. UGA Extension Rockdale County will be there on-site to help you identify invasive plants and provide plenty of guidance to maintain a healthy pollinator-friendly habitat!
