Congrats to UCA Film Seniors Ren Tsukamoto and Javion Lee on their new project “Rats”, which is hosting a Launch Party this Thursday night at The Max Event Venue. This fundraising event is free and open to the public with food and a live band. We love to see our students grow in their ambition to make connections with the Conway community in order to make good work! Last year Javion and Ren won Best Narrative film for their Film Production 4, “Show Pub Queen” among many other awards.

Thanks to the Max for believing in local film to make a difference. We are so grateful for your support to our students. Over the past year, Pete graciously has partnered with UCA Film on The Global Cinema Night, Pitch Night for the capstone films, and our Sight & Sound Greenlight Meetings.

Another wedding at The Max is in the books. We‘ve been surprised at the number of people looking for a small, affordable venue that is elegant and intimate to say their wedding vows in front of their friends and family. Congratulations Chelsey and Joseph, and thank you for choosing The Max.

Another first tonight, the wedding party had a nice downtown walk to The Rogue Roundabout for dinner and they’ll be back soon to a wedding venue that has been turned into a party venue for the rest of the reception.

We are glad to be in Downtown Conway where these evenings can happen and are also grateful to be Downtown Conway’s Premier Venue. More pics of the day/evening will be posted soon.
