If you haven't signed your kids up for a summer reading program Constantine Township Library Three Rivers Public Library Cass District Library are some of our favorites but most local libraries offer them for free. They are a great way to keep kids excited about reading all summer long, and libraries usually have fun activities, events, and prize drawings throughout the program. Many even offer rewards like free ice cream and other goodies for completing reading goals.

Whether you're working all summer or have a little extra time at home, consider making a library visit part of your routine. Let your kids pick out books they're excited about and encourage them to meet their reading goals. And if you're already a reader yourself, why not join the adult challenge too? You're reading anyway, so you might as well earn a few prizes along the way.

Also, can we talk about how much money the library has saved me? Audio books count too, and apps like Hoopla and Libby have been absolute game changers. They've saved me a ton of money on Audible, and I recommend them to anyone who loves audiobooks.

Summer reading, library adventures, and the chance to escape into a hundred different worlds sounds like a pretty great way to spend the season. 📚❤️

Hanging at The Hive🐝♥️ The Huss Project If you're a parent or someone caring for children during the day, this is such a fun way to get kids out of the house, stay active, and connect with other families. Free lunches are provided, and my daughter was very happy with the lunch she received today!

They have a wonderful, fully stocked mud kitchen, a sandpit with all the Tonka trucks, a basketball court with basketballs, soccer balls, a really cool swing, and even an enchanted forest for kids to explore. They also let families walk through the gardens, and the kids can sample some of the strawberries, one or two, or maybe five if you're my daughter. 😂

The people are wonderful, the environment is welcoming and safe, and it's such a great way to get out of the house, connect with others, and enjoy a little community magic. 💛🌱🍓⚽🏀🌳

As promised, here is some strawberry jam! 🍓

I loved spending the day in the kitchen with my girl, sneaking strawberry bites and making jam for ourselves and friends. I was honestly nervous because I had never made jam before, but after a little reassurance from friends and weeks of talking about it, Josephine and I finally made our own freezer jam all by ourselves.

I am so proud of us.

Consider this your sign: if there's something you've been wanting to do but have been afraid to try, go for it. You might surprise yourself with what you're capable of. ❤️🍓✨

Support the businesses that support our communities. Pay attention to the ones pouring into our kids, sponsoring events, showing up, and giving back when they don't have to. Those are the businesses that help make our small towns special.

❤️ We love Pipers, and I've been going there since I was in high school. Katrina is amazing, she truly cares about this community and the people in it. Businesses like hers make a real difference, and we're lucky to have them.
