It’s Good Friday and we are gearing up for Easter weekend! The annual Sommer Easter Egg Hunt is competitive business. Nick looked at me like I was nuts the first time he participated and I made him change into running shoes and stretch first. Now he comes into it with strategies and distraction tactics.

I turned 33 last month. The week before my birthday, I found my first gray hair and had my first broken bone. Hopefully that’s not an indicator of how my 33rd year will be 😂

I have been incredibly fortunate to make it to quite a few of my bucket list locations, but my big goal is to make it to all 7 continents! I have 2 continents left but my African safari and Antarctica will have to wait until kiddo is much older (or grown lol)

I always think I’m going to post all the photos that I’ve been hoarding of our work and then I get tripped up on the captions. So for the rest of the month, my goal is to post three or four photos a week and the captions will have nothing to do with business. Maybe it’ll be something about me or our family, maybe it’ll be what I ate for breakfast, who knows 🤷‍♀️ Comment your caption topic requests!

Happy 1-year anniversary to Camille and Allison!! 💚 Their wedding at the Houston Botanic Garden was EVERYTHING! The vibe at their wedding was fun, energetic, and filled with love! They have such an amazing group of happy campers around them!

Thought this deserved a permanent spot on our feed! This gorgeous piece was from a fall 2023 wedding that I never got around to posting. I was incredibly sick for the entire 9 months of pregnancy and our socials went to the back burner. We’ve had our little guy three months now and I’m finally going through all the photos from the last year!

We made it to Friday friends! My goal this week was to be more active on our social media. My goal for next week is to get our website updates published!

Nick’s dad passed away two months before our wedding. He had a sudden stroke and had to be life flighted to the hospital from their local ER. We discussed getting married in the hospital while his dad was still with it, but we knew he wouldn’t want us to do that. He wanted us to have the big beautiful wedding. Nick’s grandparents had a Russian Orthodox wedding and his dad kept trying to convince us to do that because it was so beautiful and elaborate. We chose to honor him at our wedding with a photo on his chair and a moment of silent prayer. Unfortunately many of our clients have also lost loved one before their big day. We have had so many different requests to honor them, from a boutonniere on their chair to having a small photo or keepsake attached to the bouquet. This couple chose to honor their loved one with an arrangement in their favorite color on their chair.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on threads? I’ve heard people compare it to twitter. Since we are a very visual business, I don’t think it would be beneficial for us. I also have heard that it’s tied to your Instagram account and you can’t delete one without the other. Is this true? What are your thoughts on it?
