Do you ever wonder where the money comes from to put off the annual fireworks display in Connellsville? It comes from organizations like ours. In the past the fireworks were sponsored by the Connellsville Chamber of Commerce, they recently decided to give the fireworks back to the City of Connellsville to put off. The city does not have the extra funds available to put into a fireworks display. Ev

eryone enjoys coming into the city and watching the fireworks display with their friends and families. We formed the Connellsville Festival Association to raise the necessary funds so Connellsville's traditional 4th of July celebration may continue. We plan to continue fundraising far after the fireworks are finished to continue to provide unique and exciting activities to the citizens and visitors of the Connellsville area.

Mornin all! Last night at our monthly city council meeting our council discussed the upcoming Red White & Boom event that is sponsored by the Connellsville Festival Association. During our discussion the annual Independence Day fireworks display was discussed. Costs have skyrocketed for the 25 minute display. The fireworks now cost $15,000. Right now the festival association has raised $10,000 which means they are in need of $5000 more in donations to cover this years costs.

I know how much the Connellsville community loves the fireworks that are put off every year for the red white and boom event. It’s now time for the community to help support the costs of having fireworks
The festival association will accept any amount of donations. It will all go towards the fireworks display cost.
