Dear Venue Families, Patrons, and Friends,
We are reaching out with an honest and heartfelt message as we enter the final stretch of 2025. The Venue Theatre exists because of the incredible community that surrounds it- families, artists, students, alumni, and supporters who believe in the power of youth-centered performing arts. Today, we need your partnership more than ever.
As many of you know, The Venue Theatre operates with great care, transparency, and responsibility. We want to reassure you that there has been no financial mismanagement of any kind. Instead, we are facing a simple but serious challenge: our monthly expenses currently exceed our monthly revenue. This strain has been made more difficult by a significant decrease in grant funding in recent years, a trend affecting many small arts organizations across the state.
Rising operational costs, reduced grant income, and the timing of tuition and ticket revenue have combined to create a shortfall that threatens our ability to remain open into the New Year.
This is a difficult message to send, but we believe in honesty and in the strength of this community. If The Venue has impacted your family or your life, we ask you to consider supporting us in one or more of the following ways:
• Colorado Gives Day – A tax-deductible donation of any size makes an immediate and meaningful difference. https://www.coloradogives.org/organization/TheVenueTheatreCompany
• Attend The Venue Jingle & Mingle: Cabaret & Game Night Fundraiser on December 14 – Join us for an evening of performances, fun, and community while helping sustain our programming. https://paybee.io/quickpay.html?handle=venuetheatre&ppid=6
• Register your student(s) for Spring and/or Summer Shows early – Early enrollment helps us accurately project staffing and budgeting needs. Tuition remains our largest and most reliable revenue source, and early commitments greatly strengthen our financial stability. https://www.thevenuetheatre.com/
The Venue Theatre is more than a building. It is a creative home, a training ground, and a place where young people discover their confidence, their voice, and their community. If you are able, we humbly ask for your help to ensure we can continue serving our students and families well into 2026 and beyond.
Thank you for believing in our mission, for cheering on our young performers, and for being part of the heart of The Venue.
With gratitude,
Stephanie, Amy and The Venue Board of Directors
