Since I work from home on Fridays, my album of the day will be an actual, physical vinyl record from my collection.

Today’s album is 2000’s “Hybrid Theory” by Linkin Park!

This album changed my brain chemistry as a little 7th grader, and I wore twisty spiked hair (usually with bright red hair glue) for most of the next year or two.

In fact, I’d regularly perform concerts in front of my bedroom mirror, dressing like Chester for the screaming parts, and Mike for the rapping parts 😂

The album is a total banger, with the obvious hits “One Step Closer,” “Crawling,” and “In the End,” but it’s truly amazing from start to finish, and defined the late ‘90s, early 2000’s nü metal era along with Limp Bizkit and Korn.

Today's album is "Mint Jams" by Casiopea from 1982. Thank you for the suggestion Nick Johnson!

I had no idea what to expect going into this album having never heard of the band before, but consider me a fan!

The album is fully instrumental, and is what I'd describe as "smooth yacht rock music without any singing." As a fan of yacht rock, this spoke to me immediately. Each of the songs would've made for pure yacht rock bangers with Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, or Kenny Loggins singing over it.

I can especially see myself using this as reading or work background ambiance.

Today's album of the day is "Everyone's Talking!" by All Time Low.

This suggestion came in from Cory LaBreck, who seems A LOT cooler than Cory Von Quest😉

Despite being a fan of their 2008 album "So Wrong, It's Right" (of "Dear Maria, Count Me In" fame), I honestly didn't know All Time Low was still going, but they've been consistently putting out albums since then, including 2025's "Everyone's Talking!"

This album has a much more mature sound compared to the bright, poppy "So Wrong, It's Right" and seems to follow the same path as Boys Like Girls, a group I'm much more familiar with.

FUN FACT - the band's name came from the New Found Glory song "Head on Collision" which was my album of the day yesterday!

With the fall season starting today, I'm going to start posting an album that I've listened to from start to finish during my Monday-Friday shoot job, and any thoughts I have on it.

First up is in "Sticks and Stones" by New Found Glory!

This album totally shaped my taste in music moving forward when it came out in 2002. Little Nick Mitchell was jamming out to this during the summer between middle and high school! Aside from their singles "My Friends Over You" and "Head on Collision" this album is full of bangers from start to finish. Their mix of pop-punk lyrics with hardcore instrumentals influenced so many bands that came after them.

RIP to guitarist Chad Gilbert who just passed the other day.

If you have any suggestions of future albums I should listen to, let me know! I'm open to just about anything.

I personally love both Danny Blaze and Bull Dredd, but the combo of Mistretta and Medina is DANGEROUS.
